Welcome to the Official Loggerodeo™ at the Chainsaw Carving Capitol of Washington State and the Pacific Northwest in Sedro-Woolley, WA!!

We are celebrating the longest running 4th of July celebration in Washington State. Sedro-Woolley will Host numerous events and activities during the 4th of July celebration: Loggerodeo™, as well as the longest running International, Invitation only, Chainsaw carving competition. Each year there is Also a PRCA Rodeo  for Cowboys and Cowgirls, for the best all around Points on the circuit. This takes place at the PCRA Rodeo Grounds at Highway 20 and Polte Road.

There are two main events for the “Loggerodeo™” are the Logging Exposition and the Chainsaw Carving Competition. For the Logging Exposition is where the Loggers show off there skills in Pole Climbing, Axe Throwing, Choker Setting, and Single Buck and Double Buck Crosscut Saw.

For the Chainsaw Carving Competition there are two competition going here one is there main or Masterpiece carve where the carvers whittle down an 8ft by 3ft Piece of Cedar or Redwood log into some of the most amazing art forms found anywhere. This goes on every day that the Loggerodeo™ is going and is Judged on the last day.

The second of the Chainsaw Carving Competition is the Quick Carve that happens once a day that the show is going on during the competition and at the end of every day there is an auction for the Quick Carvings for that day.

  • Sedro-Woolley Loggerodeo™, is the winner of Skagit Valley Best of the Best 2023, For Festival/Fair.
  • We would like to thank all of our staff that are all Volunteers. Also would like to shout out for the Sedro-Woolley F.F.A. that provided volunteers to sweep out carvers working areas as the Carvers are working, to keep them safe throughout the day.
